I would like to thank each and every board and staff member for their dedicated time and support of our organization. The success of BRHB depends on the unique talents of each individual involved and our collective belief in the importance of our mission for children.
The launch of our web site has been an exciting
addition this year. We now have photos of performances, current sponsor lists,
links to our curriculum enhancement packets, and much more
information about our organization on-line. Check out

During this school year our musicians have presented
two very diverse programs – the Fall convocation had an Hispanic flavor and
featured Raphael Mendez, a noted trumpeter who performed with bands, composed
music & wrote teaching methods throughout the 40’s and 50’s. Our Spring program
featured the music of Indiana’s own favorite comedian and humanitarian,
Red Skelton. We owe a special debt of gratitude for the development of this
production to Nancy Reynolds Hensel, Dr. Phillip M. Summers, President Emeritus
of Vincennes, and Mrs. Red Skelton for allowing us access to Red’s archives and
the use of his music and children’s books.
In addition, a special thank you is extended to all our sponsors who help make our mission a reality. Your financial support enables us to bring our message of music, literacy, history and culture to thousands of Indiana elementary school children. Our joint goal is to stimulate a love for music and reading in all children that will extend into their adult lives.
